PLC
& Operator Interface Programming
Single Source Advantage provides PLC and operator interface programming services to
change your existing system into a more
efficient machine while providing a user friendly interface.
We work
with the end user to identify the needs of the machine
operator and we program from that point of view. The programming standards that we follow,
from program structure to interface color schemes, provide a
common look and feel throughout the system.
With each project, we provide
detailed operations manuals, using screen images and any
other essential images, to show all functions of the control
system. These functions are
described using step-by-step procedures. These
manuals come standard with any system completed by
Single Source Advantage. Maintenance and engineering
support is also provided at completion.
Operator Interface Unit (OIU)
or Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) exist to link
a person to a machine. Most modern automated
systems have moved to PC-based SCADA (Supervisory Control
And Data Acquisition) systems. These systems enable
you to view and interact with the working of an entire
operation through a display screen of the production
process. This interface has its own processing
capabilities so it can handle complex functions without
endangering the core control system, which remains
controlled by a PLC.
Electromechanical panels with
pushbuttons and indicator lights are used for the simplest
systems. Control panels containing small terminals or
multi-line LCD displays are developed for those operations
requiring simple choices or a few data values to be
displayed. SCADA
systems utilize a full complement of development and
display tools to fully manage and report on a
complex machine, process, or production line.

Data
Collection & Marquee Display Systems
Single Source Advantage can design, build, program, and
install a complete data collection system for a single
machine or for an entire plant. We can interface to
any machine, with or without an existing PC or PLC.
With increasing operating
costs and growing competition, it is essential that
production is running at maximum efficiency. A quality
data collection system is necessary if you want to reduce your MTTR (mean
time to repair). Single Source Advantage can develop a
complete data collection system to aid your maintenance
personnel in debugging and repairing your machinery.
The system will monitor inputs, outputs, faults, and all
other critical data. This
will translate to reduced machine downtime, improved
operator efficiency, and a significant reduction in maintenance costs.
All critical data is
collected and stored, allowing for custom reports to be
generated through the interface screens. Report
generation is also necessary for monitoring your operation,
and Single Source Advantage can also provide you with
automated programs to generate reports for the critical

viewed via the internet or printed for personal viewing.
Industrial LED Marquee
