The System Supervisor can connect to your machine within minutes, weather or not it has an existing PLC. You will be able to start collecting real-time data within twenty minutes!

The System Supervisor can collect the following times: Running, Starved, Stopped, Manual, Auto, and Alarm. These times are collected by hour and stored within the local control system for local viewing. The data can be saved to a database for historical trending once connected to the main data collection system.

Production counts are also collected each hour: System Cycles, Passed Parts, and Failed Parts. These counts are collected to provide a complete overview of the machine efficiency. The data is collected and viewed by each hour. The shift times can be set locally on the touch-screen interface.

The System Supervisor comes complete in a Nema 4x enclosure with a six inch color touch-screen interface. The unit can collect data for a total of four shifts before requiring uploading to a database storage location. The unit comes with three indicator lights, providing notification to the operator on the status of the machine.

Ten Key Points for Data Collection:

Running
This is the amount of time in minutes that the machine is not stopped. This time is accumulated as long as the machine is cycling and is not stopped, weather the machine is processing product or not.

Starved
This is the amount of time in minutes that the machine is ready to run but cannot process any product because the upstream equipment has failed to supply any product.

Stopped
This is the amount of time that the machine was not running. Stopped time is accumulated any time the machine is not in cycle. Stopped time is not accumulated if the machine is idle because of a lack of product. This would be accumulated under the "Starved Time".

Manual
This is the amount of time the machine has been in manual mode. This time is accumulated weather or not the machine is running. As long as manual mode is active, the time will be accumulated.

Auto
This is the amount of time that the machine has been in automatic mode. This time is accumulated weather or not the machine is running. As long as automatic mode is active, the time will be accumulated.

Alarm
This is the amount of time that the machine has been in an alarm or faulted state.

System Cycled
This is the number of counts that the machine has cycled. This data point is accumulated weather or not the machine has processed any parts with each cycle. Used in conjunction with the passed and failed part counts, a complete efficiency profile can be generated.

Passed Parts
This is the number of passed or good parts (product) that have passed through the system.

Failed Parts
This is the number of failed or rejected parts (product) that have passed through the system.

Event Codes
The event code tracks each time the machine stops and records the total time of the occurrence. The operator is prompted to enter an event code as each occurrence happens. The event code provides you with "reasons" instead of just time for your machine operations.
